Well, here I am again.
Somehow I have a bad conscious about not writng for such a long time. But who cares?
There are news in my life.
The biggest one is that I'll move again at the end of this year.
My now landlord said that she wanted to come over to Germany again (she lives currently in Guatemala) for 3-6 weeks and that she wants to stay at her house for this time even if I'm the one who's paying the rent. So, as I don't do well with house guests - 1. I don't know, - 2. I don't like a lot, and - 3. who wants to stay THAT long, are not welcome to my home. So, consequence was that I searched for a new home.
I'll move on the 30th of December to Ottobrunn. A little suburb in the south of Munich. It'll be 12 km from work through the Perlacher Forst, so I'll still commute to work by bike. I'll live in a little house, under the roof again, in an one bedroom apartment with a balcony facing south, where my landlord is going to be an old lady. I have to shovel the snow and cut her lawn and the rent isn't as high as the standard prices in and around Munich. She seems to be a very nice one.
Training with my new coach is awesome. I'm trained by Christine Fletcher of B78. A Canadian triathlon Pro. She's so nice and patient and competent and is always cheering me on. She's the nicest coach I ever had so far. Next weekend she's racing the Ironman in Arizona.
My shoulder is getting better. It still isn't 100% (maybe 95%) good but I'm getting there. Bad news is that my achilles tendon, this time the left side, is injured. These injuries are making me M.A.D.! It's so very frustrating to not getting forward with my running form, I so hardly wish to get better at.
Already planned my races for next year. Don't know if I can participate but I'll try my hardest.
It's going to be only 3 major races:
25th of May, Ironman 70.3, St. Poelten, Austria (Middle distance, 1.9-90-21)
15th of June, Ironman 70.3, Kraichgau, Germany (Middle distance 1.9-90-21)
7th of September, Triathlon Cologne, Germany (Long distance, 3.8-180-42)
Maybe I'll do some smaller regional races around here, maybe solely running races, I don't know at the moment.
Thyroid-wise my health isn't ideal either. It seems that I have a new knot on one of the remaining rest of my thyroids which is caused by my Graves' disease. It is producing too much hormones that I had to get down with my medications a lot. At the moment the endocrinologist and I are trying to figure out what the ideal dose will be. Right now I'm at 37 g of L-Thyroxin/d. Down from 125g.
Had some urgent dentist treatment this week which will leave me bankrupt after I'll get their invoice.
I'll have to pay 2322 Euro (3122 USD) for the treatment of only 3 teeth. New crowns to be exact. Hopefully my extra dentist-insurance will pay the major part. I'll see (and pray).
