Good news concerning the demounting of my tile stove. They will come next Thursday for demounting. Which means I can start a lot earlier with laying out the paquette flooring. Yay!
Weatherwise it was pretty cold last week but from yesterday on it isn't freezing anymore and the rest of the snow is melting quickly. Another yay!
I'm so fed up with winter and gray days.
Birds began to sing already.
There's a little swarm of Common Redpolls who are sitting on the hazeltree near the birdfeeding house. They are "talking" all day. I love it.
They will move up north when it gets warmer and I won't see them again until next winter. I guess it's a flock of appr 20 birds or so. They are a hungry pack. All of the seeds, peanuts, raisins and mealworms are gone within hours. I have to refill at least once/day. There are also blackbirds, collard doves, blue tits, great tits, chaffinches, siskins, robins, bullfinches and spotted woodpeckers. Maybe there are even more, but those are the ones I can identify and see the most often.
I spend at least 100€/month on birdfeeding. I love them and they give me joy.
And I want to give back nature, as they are catching tons of insects during summer time. I have nearly no biting insects around the house or inside.
I'm very thankful for that!
