Long time no write, I know. But I didn't feel like writing anything. I tried, maybe two or three times, to fill this little white box, but left without leaving any words.
I'm not as depressed as I have been in February. I'm feeling a lot better. But it feels like I'm somehow dead inside.
Germany's Corona-lockdown is nearly over. So, we've been back to somehow normal. Well, as normal as it can get with this virus still going round.
I worked all the time but with more homeoffice than usual. I'm in Munich 2 days per week which is kind of nice. I hope that this new work routine will stay longer.
As I work in the pharmaceutical industry we never were in danger of closure or short-time work.
Two of my colleagues are pregnant - again. *sigh* One with her third child, the other one with her second. They will go into maternity leave in September and October.
I have two new colleagues who are replacing two others who left our group in March. They are nice - and young.
One of the colleagues who left was immediate dismissed by our company. Everybody was speechless as she was a very competent, diligent, honest and nice colleague.
At home, the owner of the apartment on the first level died. (the knitpicker know-it-all-guy). Not of COVID but of intestinal blockage and therefore heavy necrosis. It happened pretty fast within 3 days. I'm somehow sad about this and, astonishingly, I miss him, even if he was an old grouch.
But I do feel more free bustling in and around the house and with working in the garden. I even felled a bigger tree he planted in front of his sleeping room window. Don't know what he did in his sleeping room, what needed to stay a secret that needed to be hidden by that dark conifer.
I'll replace the conifer with some smaller trees and bushes which will be of use for the birds and insects. I already bought one on ebay. Red cherry-plum. I think about planting serviceberry trees and maybe some other fruit trees or bushes.
Paid the new balcony door with my tax income return money. I'll hire the company again for two other balcony doors and a window someday this summer.
I threw out my old 3-seater-sofa and replaced it by a smaller simple leather-recamiere. I also threw out the sofa and armchair I got from the middle apartment in 70s-retro style. I would have never finished the restaurations...
Now I have more space in my apartment. I'm happy.
I also planted/seeded some plants on my little roof-terrace. Sweet potato, tomato, parsley roots, flowers for bees, red basil, mint, sun flowers, nastutium, nigella and hollyhock.
I bought a new bike. An e-bike. (yeah, I got into THAT age *rolleseyes*) As I got fat and unfit, I would never drive my normal bike in our region as it is very hilly. It definitely feels like it's always going uphill.
We have this program here at work that we can lease a bike, no matter if it is a normal bike or an e-bike, like a car via our company. It works like a business-car-lease. We have to pay a small amount each month for the bike with automatical deduction on your salary. Insurance and service is included. After three years we can decide to buy the bike for 17% of the original price or get a new one.
I hope that it will arrive soon. It's been 2 weeks since I ordered. (Picture )
I'm looking forward as I made plans to do several longer bike-tours. The Moldau-bike-way (450km) (along the river Moldau) and the Elbe-bike-way (1400km). I already bought watertide bike packs for tent and other camping utensils.
Hm, can't think of anything else which is new.
