Next week I'll be 55 years old.
That's quite old.
I think.
Well, I feel like 106 1/3.
I'm in pain since last Wednesday. My lower back is making major problems - again.
There's this one disc of my lumbar vertebra which is slipping out of place from while to while.
It happened again.
Each of you who already had back problems like a slipped disc, knows of what kind of pain I talk. It's very, very, totally, terrible pain. I have this kind of issues since my mid 20s, so I'm not inexperienced with these kind of pain and illness.
I was ill with the flu 2 weeks ago right after the Parkway Drive concert (which was VERY GOOD btw.). The real flu. I was out for 2 whole weeks with just wandering between bed and sofa. Which means my back muscles were shrinking.
Back muscles are the alpha and omega against slipping discs. The end of the story, I'm here, sitting with pain, standing with pain, walking with pain, lying with pain, crawling with pain, well, every tiny move is combined with pain.
This means that I will be in pain for at least 3-4 more weeks until I will have enough back muscles again to move more or less painless.
I do train my back daily now (normally 2-3 times a week) and I don't sit much which is poison for the back in this kind of state but as I have to work in an office it is inevitable.
This week was the first of my business trips. I had to fly to Bonn. It was so very terrible with these kind of issues. I was afraid all the time that I wouldn't be able to get out of the seat of the plane, bus, S-Bahn, waiting hall or out of the chair at the seminar or anywhere else in public where I had to sit.
Next Wednesday I have to fly to Berlin. I really, really hope that my back will improve until then, mysteriously...
Winter is nearly gone. Even here in Zwiesel there's not much snow left. Which makes me happy. They say a bit of snow for today, but I guess it will be gone by Sunday as they say sping-like temps with sun.
Oh, and the second package that I sent to Korea finally arrived after 2 whole months. It was the package with the elderberry fruit-wine. I was very happy that I didn't waste the money for this and the recipient was very happy too and he and his girlfriend liked the wine very much.
I'm still watching my Korean shows. I'm so very addicted!
Did I mention that I signed up to learn Korean at the adult education center in Munich? The first class took place last Monday already but I wasn't able to attend as I had to fly to Bonn. But I'm looking forward to the next class next Monday. I really hope that the Korean teacher is good.
