Last weekend I did some hiking. Saturday I went up the "Lusen" it's only 1371m (~4500ft) and the other day I went up to the "Hochschachten" (1150m - 3770ft). Hochschachten is an old name for an area up in the "hills" or mountains where the farmer brought their young stock to safe the meadows for making hay. They stopped using these upper grazing grounds somewhere in the 60s and since then nature is bringing back a bit of forrest. It's interesting to see all those things going on in nature in a slow way.
