Just read about a hit and run over at eloira's entry. This is so very sad.
Why do people do this?
I know it's hard to live with the fact that you injured or even killed someone, but to not take responsibility when you are responsible that is quite so f&%$ing bad.
Those f&%$ing douches.
I would wish that someone would do the same thing to this person.
Such things make me so very angry.
It doesn't happen very often over here in Germany. But I hear it happens more often in the US. Why is that?
I know of a US-pro-triathlete, his name is Jordan Rapp. He was run down on his bike while training and left to die. Luckily he was found by someone who took him to ER. He is now lucky to live further on and even be a pro triathlete again. Doctors had no hope for him but he didn't give up.
That is an awesome story I think.
I heard that it could be very dangerous in some parts of the US to ride your bike on the streets as bypassers get very angry at bikers as they slow them down. Heard that from several triathletes training over there.
