Long time no entry.
I got my surgery earlier then announced. Lucky me!
On the 6th of August I went to my car just coming from the gym crying in pain and I thought by myself how I could manage to endure this pain until October. Next day, Friday 7th I got a call from the clinic that I could get an earlier appointment with surgery on the 11th. Gladly I sad "YES" and I went to the hospital next Monday and got my surgery the next day. I was SO VERY glad! All went well. I stayed at the hospital for 7 days and then got out into a rehabilitation center 2 days later. I was there for 3 weeks and got many treatments each day. Massages, physiotherapy, lymphatic drainages, walking group, aquagym, CPM, magnetic field therapy, relaxation with cooling compresses, x-rays, doctors-visits, blood sampling, speeches, medical sports training... at least 4 of those a day and as this was a huge center with 4 houses connected by stairs and passageways it was difficult sometimes to get to the treatments in time. I was picked up at home each day to get there in the early mornings and back in the afternoons.
I feel a lot better and I don't have to use the crooks anymore.
After the rehabilitation ended last Thursday I went to weed our garden, planted some more flowers, mowed the lawn and painted the staircase. I'm nearly ready with the staircase. It's just the ceiling of my floor that's left and I didn't feel like painting much yesterday. Instead I sweeped and mopped the staircase of the upper floors.
I'm at work again after 5 weeks. It's like I never left.
One colleague quit and she's pregnant too. She managed to get a new job. She's very lucky. She will get her job after she will have her baby next March and her parental leave, which will be late in 2016. I guess it plays a big role that she is a specialist in regulatory affairs. There are so many joboffers in that line of the pharmaceutical industry.
I wish I would get a nice job offer in my hometown too. But this will not happen as there's no pharma industry. Maybe I will apply for a job at the office at BMW. The huge production site not that far from me. I heard that they pay good and have excellent social benefits. Plus I would get 28% on a new Beamer... Well, I'm not a big fan of BMW but when it comes that cheap I won't complain.
Now I'm off to physiotherapy.
