Spring has come finally. First flowers are blooming outside. I so love the awakening of nature after the dark months. It raises my spirits a lot.
I spent my days off mostly with going into field service and managed to get together all 30 hours I need for March. Yay me!
I was out for cycling just once. Shame on me, as there were quite some days with bright sunshine and moderate temperatures for riding outside. Instead I went home after field service or other appointments and went straight to bed on a nearly daily base for 2-4 hour naps. So, I had to head to the gym in the evenings to get my cycling done. Not very proud of this, but it has done me good, me thinks.
I still suffer from that special flu virus which comes and goes for several days. But I think it's getting better slowly.
Now I'm back at work for nearly a week and I'm glad that it's almost Thursday.
They say wonderful weather for at least the next ten days. So I will try to get my ass up and outside for cycling on the weekends. It's not nice to cycle indoors on a spinning bike. I have the impression that my butt hurts a lot more after 2.5h indoor than after 2.5h outdoor cycling. But time, while cycling indoors, goes by faster since I discovered the kindle device app for my Android. I nearly read all my new books on it lately. At least ten during the last 4 weeks.
I'm feeling pretty ok lately with my psychic situation. I think that the drug is doing very well with me. I just feel sick from time to time or suffer from palpitations for a few minutes. But I can handle that as it is only a few moments per day.
I'm looking forward to summertime. I plan on going outdoors into the mountains for weekendtrips again. But I guess it'll take a few more months until end of June or so until the masses of snow that came down in January will be gone.
5 weeks until my first race. I booked the hotel and rental car this week. I guess this one is going to be the most expensive race, even as it is just a little training race. I calculated the costs and I think it'll cost me around 500 Euros for everything for just a weekend. 130 Eur Hotel, 170 Eur rental car, 60 Eur race fees, appr. 100 Eur gas, plus maybe 50 Eur for additional food...
I feel migraine coming in and I already took painkillers. But the pain isn't going away.
It's going to be a long day. I have to stay at least until 6pm at work and afterwards I have to go to the gym for swimming and core strength. I added some special strength training for swimming to my training. I hope it will pay off as I feel not very confident in swimming lately. I think that my strength is fading too fast after 1000m. I try to swim as often as I can, a lot more than my training schedule says.
I'm hungry. Haven't had anything but coffee and water until now.
