Some updates:
- I'm still living in the apartment in Reisbach, but plan on moving out until November 2024.
I would move out sooner, but I signed a contract with a minimum stay of 2 years. Damn!
It's more traffic and louder than expected and I'm not able to sleep in on the weekends with an open window because of the noises. AND I want to live in my own house, which I haven't got - yet
- I finished the education as an reincarnation-therapist, (2 weeks ago) I'm a certified reincarnation therapist now - YAY!
- signed up again for the exam as a healing practitioner for psychotherapy on October 11th. I'm very busy with learning at the moment with no time for anything else in my free time.
- nothing new on the "buying a house" theme. I'm going to a house-viewing on the 29th for a little house in Thuringia.
- all of my building applications for the ground in Oranienbaum were neglected. I'm very disappointed. I'm thinking about selling the ground.
- my vacation in South Korea last December wasn't as good as I expected. It's a very beautiful country, but Koreans are pigs when it comes to waste. Landscapes and the sea are polluted everywhere. And nearly noone spoke to me, while I was there. They looked at me very curiously, but didn't speak to me. I had two short communications. (and as I'm shy and not very social either... there goes my chances to get to know Koreans a bit better) That's it. And most Koreans outside of the big cities Seoul and Busan don't speak english and my korean isn't good enough to have a whole conversation.
Positives:
* Korea really has very beautiful landscapes and sometimes beautiful villages with those beautiful traditional Hanok-houses
* You can buy nearly everything in very big supermarkets
* Food is very spicy but mostly very yummy especially tangerines and apples are really, really good.
* Koreans love to go camping and hiking, I was able put up my tent nearly everywhere
* A lot of beautiful beaches
* Public restrooms EVERYWHERE (never had a problem to find one, they are really everywhere,
even special lower toilets for children)
* A lot of nice parks and historical sites
* Korea has THE most beautiful bridges and a lot of them
* Korea has a lot of super-cute little cafés where you get all kinds of coffee
* street signs are always in korean letters AND "normal" letters
Negatives:
* Renting a car in Korea is VERY expensive
* Pollution everywhere (also means there are nearly no public waste bins in the cities)
* People are not very communicative
* very high buildings polluting the city-scapes as Koreans love to live in those high towers
* pretty often there are very bad odours from waste water and sewages
* streets are often in very bad shape
* I had problems with getting cash at ATMs. (I have a regular VISA-card) You can get cash only at international ATMs which are more rare.
I would highly recommend to get your needed cash at the airport. You definitely need cash for some gas stations, road tolls and smaller super markets as they namely take credit cards but no international cards.
- I have no plans for my vacation next December. It's only 2 weeks. Not enough time to go somewhere far away. At least not enough time for me as I like to explore a bit more. Plus, I might have to save a bit money for buying (and then renovating) the house
